Developing Leaders Aboriginal Corporation
ASSISTING PEOPLE TO RISE ABOVE LIFE'S CHALLENGES AND BECOME STRONG LEADERS WITHIN THEIR COMMUNITIES.
What We Do
The Developing Leaders Aboriginal Corporation continues to provide support and assistance in strengthening the ability in people by making smarter decisions and find greater purpose through helping others.
Our vision is to assist people to rise above life’s challenges and become strong leaders within their communities.
The Developing Leaders Aboriginal Corporation is a not-for-profit organisation and has been running since 2016. During this time we have assisted many indigenous and non-indigenous people in developing and implementing individual positive pathways and career opportunities.
We continue to improve our programs and assistance by listening to our audience and keeping up to date with the real-life issues that seem to be preventing us from achieving our goals.
See below for some of the services, programs and initiatives that we provide.
A support group for people who may have experienced issues with alcohol or drug abuse, conflicted relationships, mental health, incarceration, homelessness and unemployment. The group supports and provides peer counselling to people who are seeking to make positive changes in their lives. This is a safe and empowering space for people to gather and discuss issues that are important to them.
A boxing training and conditioning class for all people to stay fit and develop some boxing skills in the process. The sessions are run by professional trainers and mentors, supporting and assisting people towards their selective positive pathways. The sessions are also run with other supporting groups at desired venues making it a more mobile and flexible conditioning program.
While our aim is to improve quality of life, we encourage people to embrace aboriginal heritage and culture through activities including education, art, craft and visitation to significant Aboriginal sites.
